On February 5th and 6th, Biocom – Angolan Bioenergy Company held the Seminar on Machine Operation Safety, promoted by the Agricultural and Equipment area, in partnership with the Odebrecht Practical Equipment Support (AFEq). 68 leaders from the Agricultural, Equipment and Work Safety areas of Biocom and AH Cambambe took part in the 8-hour training session.
The training, which was given by Edivaldo Freitas - Developing People AFEq, addressed the deepening awareness about operational limits and equipment configurations, aiming to improve risk perception from staff involved in these activities.
"Our objective is to open our staff members’ eyes to the fact that working in safety does not reduce production; quite the opposite in fact - the greater the safety the higher the production", Edivaldo stated.
The training session was observed by Marco Brandão, Biocom’s Managing Director and Fernando Koch, who is responsible for Sustainability, Personnel and Organisation at Biocom. "We are looking for the staff members’ commitment to safety. Our aim is to guarantee a secure and efficient operation, keeping the drivers, professionals and equipment involved in the task safe", Fernando Koch highlights
